3DPL is a 3D printing service in Liverpool
3DPL prints functional parts, prototypes and small batches for businesses and individuals across the UK.
It started because ordering a single printed part should be as simple as ordering anything else online: upload the file, see a real price, pay, and get the part. No account, no sales call, no waiting three days for a quote that then changes.
Every file is checked by a person before it's printed, every finished part is photographed before it's posted, and if a print isn't right it's printed again. That's the whole approach.
How the work is done
Every file gets opened and looked at
Not just dropped into a queue. If a wall is too thin or a bridge is too long, you hear about it before printing, not after.
The price you see is the price you pay
The quote tool estimates from the model. After slicing, if the real figure is lower, the difference is refunded. If it's higher, you're asked first.
A photo before dispatch, every time
You see the actual part before it goes in the post. If you're not happy, it's printed again.
No when it should be no
Some parts don't suit this process. If yours is one of them, you'll be told, and pointed towards resin or machining if that's the right answer.
