- It's parsed locally to get volume, bounding box and surface area.
- Only when you ask for a price is it sent to us, over an encrypted connection.
- Files are deleted 30 days after the order is delivered, unless you ask us to keep them.
How the price is worked out
- Material used, by weight, at the per-gram rate for the filament you pick.
- Printer time, estimated from volume and layer height.
- A small setup fee that covers checking the file and preparing the bed.
What's checked by hand
- Wall thickness and small features that won't resolve at the layer height chosen.
- Orientation and supports, so the surfaces that matter come out clean.
- Anything that looks like it might not do what you want it to.
