Forty cable clips in an afternoon

A small batch job from upload to post in one working day, and what made it quick.

21 September 2026, 1 minute read

An audio-visual installer needed forty cable clips for a job the next morning. They had an STL from a previous supplier, uploaded it at ten past nine, and the parcel was at Royal Mail by four.

Why it was quick

The file was clean. One body, watertight, with the flat face already down. It went straight through the check with nothing to fix.

The part is small, so forty fit on one plate. One print, one job, a single run of about seven hours at 0.2 mm in PETG.

What it cost

Forty clips at 1.4 g each, about seven printer hours, and the setup fee. £58.00 including VAT, with Tracked 24 on top because it had to be there in the morning.

Reorders take seconds. The file stays on account, and the next forty are one click and the same price.

They've ordered the same file three times since.
